Adam Riemann?s latest update from the forests of Romania.
"Day 4 on tour and the real off-road stuff has begun ? we are in the Romaniacs forests surrounding Sibiu, Romania. Many people have asked why we chose 500EXC's for the journey and this is why ? they are at home in hard core enduro! Even with the added weight, we climbed a 1500m rutted, messy forest trail with ease. The luggage actually helps the rear get traction and the 500 engines just torque their way through the steep terrain. They growl louder than the bears too, so we haven't seen any yet Stay tuned for more as we head across the mountains toward Bulgaria!"
The amazing journey continues for Riemann and Portbury
"Venturing further across the heart of Turkey, we set the drone off across a massive salt lake then followed its course ... on the back wheel. 500EXC's can wheel stand for days!"
Adam and Mark reach Egypt!
"Well, as you can see we are in Egypt and this image represents a number of things ? it represents our elation of getting the KTM's released from a 3-day customs quarantine at the shipping port of Damietta. It represents clocking up 5000km of testing terrain across 6 countries. How we managed to get one bike and all the camera gear inside the Pyramids historic compound is a story you'll have to wait and see in the movie ... but above all else, this picture represents "wheel" standing proud as an Australian. However, it does not represent the end of the journey. Tomorrow we leave Cairo to continue south east towards Jordan. Thanks for following our KTM 500EXC adventure! "
The 500 EXC?s drift across the deserts with Adam and Mark?
"Day 23 of the journey, we are travelling through the Sinai mountains headed for the barge to take us across the Red Sea and into Jordan. The 500EXC's are right at home in the desert country!"
Adam and Mark continue to plough through the deserts on their KTM 500 EXC?s.
" We never imagined the journey could get any more epic, but Jordan has blown our mind. We spent three days filming in Wadi Rum - a desert racing, extreme riding wonderland! The 500 EXC's have been pushed harder here than in any other country - and they loved it. We loved it! "
